Lunch Clubs!

With the sunnier weather over the last few days, it has been geat to see the children joining the Garden Club on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. This Semester, we have also introduced a few new lunch time activities including Prep-2 yoga and Lego Masters! Our SRC members have also had the chance to share the new timetable with their classes this afternoon.

Parent Support

Michael Carr-Gregg, who is a renowned child/adolescent psychologist, is presenting an evening for parents called ''Thrive'' which will be held at the Arts Centre in Langwarrin. For those that have not had the opportunity to hear him speak before, we would highly recommend it.

School Refusal

The Victorian Parents Council will be holidng a live forum on Tuesday, 6th August at 7pm. The event will be hosted by a panel of parents, educators, psychologists, researchers and government agencies. The VPC acknowledges the challenges that some parents are faced with and the significant impact of school attendance issues. The event will end with a Q&A session. If you are interested in attending, please register at: https://vicparentscouncil.vic.edu.au/events/

Happy Families

We have subscribed to a great resource called ''Happy Families''. This was founded by Dr Justin Coulson who you may recognise from Channel 9's "Parental Guidance" show. Our subscription allows us to tap into numerous articles which we can share with our community. This fortnight, there are 2 issues attached for you to read - "STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN to your Kids" and "Parenting on the Same Page". It would be great to have your feedback about the articles or if there is a topic/s you'd be keen to learn more about. Please let us know your thoughts by email admin@safranksth.catholic.edu.au

Would you like to be a helper in our school?

At St A's, we really value any additional help from members in our wonderful community. There are a number of ways you can contribute by supporting the staff and children, such as: Excursions, Athletics days, Interschool Sports, Mother's Day/Father's Day events, Cooking & Gardening sessions and so much more! If you are keen to join in, please make sure you have a current Working With Children Check
