Music Soiree

Our Music Soirée, held in Week 8, was a wonderful celebration of student talent and dedication. Students took to the stage to showcase their performances, demonstrating the skills and artistry they have developed throughout the term. A highlight of the evening was the contribution of our VCE students, who performed their assessment repertoire. Every performance made for a truly enjoyable experience for the audience. It was fantastic to see a range of musical abilities on display, and a joy to listen to and watch throughout the event.

Music Intensive

In lieu of our usual Music Camp, we will be holding a one-day Intensive Workshop for our Music Ensembles on Sunday, 26 July. This provides a valuable opportunity for students to focus on their ensemble work and continue developing their skills. Further information has been sent out to families, and we are looking forward to an engaging and enjoyable day of music-making.

Year 7 Music

In Year 7 Music, students in classes 7F–7I will be learning a concert band instrument as part of their Semester 2 program. They will receive their instrument at the start of Term 3 and will be guided through the basics over the first few lessons before taking them home. Regular practice will form part of their homework expectations, with students aiming for 5–10 minutes, 2–3 times per week. This is an exciting opportunity for students to begin their instrumental journey and develop their musical skills.
