PAM Digest Update

From the beginning of next term, the College will introduce a new fortnightly PAM Digest email for families.

This Digest will provide parents with a snapshot of key wellbeing information relating to their son. Each fortnight, families will receive an overview that includes:

  • Attendance data, including overall attendance, parent-notified absences, and late-to-school passes
  • Social and behavioural information, including a strong focus on commendations, as we continue our shift toward recognising and celebrating the positive contributions and achievements of students at SPC

Our aim is that this information provides a helpful and timely snapshot of how your son is progressing throughout the term. Should any questions or concerns arise from the Digest, parents are encouraged to make contact with their son’s Homeroom Teacher as a first point of discussion.

We hope this initiative strengthens communication between home and school and keeps families informed about their son’s journey at St Patrick’s College. If you would like further information regarding the PAM Digest, please feel free to contact me.

Live4Life Program – Year 8

Next term, our Year 8 students will participate in the Live4Life Ballarat program as part of their Health and Physical Education curriculum.

This initiative is an evidence-based mental health education program designed to support young people in developing knowledge, skills, and confidence to look after their own wellbeing and support others.

As part of the program, students will complete Teen Mental Health First Aid, delivered across a series of sessions in a supportive classroom environment alongside their regular teacher.

The program focuses on:

  • Building understanding of common mental health challenges in young people
  • Encouraging early help-seeking behaviours
  • Promoting positive peer support and wellbeing practices

Student wellbeing remains our highest priority throughout the program, with trained staff and wellbeing supports in place to ensure all students feel safe and supported.

This is a valuable opportunity for our students to build important life skills that support both their own wellbeing and that of others within our community.
