We Will Rock You - A Huge Success!

What an incredible journey! We could not be prouder of our cast, crew and band for everything they achieved in We Will Rock You. Over the past six months, they have dedicated countless hours to bringing this production to life, and they absolutely blew the roof off the theatre. Their professionalism, resilience and determination have been outstanding, and every one of them has grown as a performer along the way.

A big thank you to our incredible production team, EMC staff, alumni and parent volunteers. A production of this scale is only possible because of the many people working behind the scenes, and we are so grateful for every contribution.

This also marks the farewell of another incredible group of Year 12 students. Many of these students have been part of our productions since Year 7. Watching them grow has been one of the greatest privileges. They joined us calling themselves “just a dancer”, “just a singer” or “just an actor”, and now leave as true triple threats who have embraced every challenge. Even better than that, they have set an incredible example for our younger students, and we can’t wait to see where their talents take them next.

Finally, thank you to the entire EMC community for continuing to support the performing arts. It is a place where students can discover who they are, build confidence, find belonging and bring stories to life. We are incredibly fortunate to be part of a community that values and champions these opportunities.

Rehearsal times for this year are:

Some students will have their after-school rehearsal times change in Semester 2, and as a parent of two very busy kids myself, I understand the organisational challenge this may cause some families. Please get in touch if you have any concerns!

Being part of an ensemble/band is one of the more rewarding aspects of learning an instrument and is also a compulsory part of our program here at EMC. If the rehearsal times don’t align with your schedule, please email me at: dominic.parsons@education.vic.gov.au
