Student Leaders

Primary Dream and Lead Conference 

On Wednesday the 26th of March, the Grade 6 cohort went into the city to participate in the Primary Dream and Lead Conference. We were one of many schools who attended. We had the opportunity to listen to 3 main speakers, Wil Massara, Lucy Thomas and Nick Pearce. They taught us many interesting lessons and we certainly gained a lot of knowledge about leadership and respect for their causes.

Colour Run 

On the 25th of March, all Wonga Park PS students got to participate in our whole school Colour Run. This was such a fun event as all our students got to run across the reserve, getting showered and sprinkled with colour by their teachers. Once they had completed their running and shower of colours, students ran down to the oval to get hosed off by the Wonga Park CFA with their big hoses and awesome fire truck. This was such a memorable time for the Preps as they got to run with their Grade Six buddies, before they go off to high school. We can’t forget to mention the delicious sausages and amazing drinks!

Cross Country 

On Friday the 28th of March, our exciting Cross Country was held at Wonga Park Reserve, filling everyone with excitement and delicious sausages! It was really great for the Preps to have their first run with their Grade 6 Buddies. All the Preps gave their best effort and will crush it again as Grade 1 students next year. Good job to all the other year levels for giving it their best and well done to Burch for being our overall winners on the day. 

Matilda Auditions

Excitement has filled the BER over the past two weeks as Grade 5 and 6 students auditioned for our upcoming 2025 School Production of Matilda. Students spent time practising their songs and speaking parts, before impressing Tim and Mrs Salisbury during their auditions and callbacks. We can’t wait for the cast announcement at the end of Term 1. 

Easter Celebrations 

Students are looking forward to our upcoming Easter celebrations being hosted this Friday. We will have an Easter Bonnet parade at 9:00am to show off our skills of art and craft. We will also have our Final Term 1 Easter Assembly in the afternoon, where we will announce our Easter raffle winners before an early dismissal (2:30pm) for the end of term 1.
