Hello everyone, and welcome back to Term 2. I trust that students and families enjoyed a refreshing break and are ready for a focused and productive term ahead.

We’ve hit the ground running this week with a Senior School assembly, taking the time to recognise many sporting achievements, as well as those students who have demonstrated their collaborative skills through our Vision for Learning awards. We also welcomed new students and staff, including Mr Jamie Kelly and Mrs Brooke Kelly, who have joined our teaching team.

Looking ahead, there are several significant events on the horizon. The Year 11 camp next week will provide students the opportunity to explore their tertiary study or employment options post-schooling, whilst having some fun along the way. Our whole‑school Cross Country Carnival will be held not long after that, and we look forward to strong participation and house spirit. Later in the term, the Senior School Information Dinner on 18 May will be a highlight, giving us the chance to showcase everything that makes Cobram AGS such a great school to prospective students and families.

It’s been a fantastic first week back and I look forward to an exciting, busy and productive Term 2.

Senior School Assembly

On Thursday 23 April, our Senior School gathered for its first assembly of Term 2. As is customary, Mr O’Dwyer had a long list of awards to present, recognising outstanding sporting achievements in a range of disciplines at both interschool and extra-curricular events.

We were also delighted to present our latest round of Vision for Learning Awards across the Senior School. This time, students were recognised for consistently demonstrating what it means to be collaborative learners.

A collaborative learner works effectively with others, showing a willingness to listen, share ideas, and celebrate the contributions and achievements of their peers. These students help foster positive, inclusive learning environments where everyone feels valued and supported.

All award recipients should be proud of the way they contribute to their classrooms each day. Their ability to work together and lift those around them is a wonderful reflection of our school’s Vision for Learning. Congratulations to all students recognised.
