Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

It has been a very positive and productive start to Term 2 at Cobram Anglican Grammar School. I would like to sincerely thank our students and families for the way you have approached the beginning of the term. The smooth transition back into routines, strong attendance, and commitment to learning have set an excellent tone for the weeks ahead. It is always encouraging to see our students engaging so positively in both their academic and co-curricular pursuits.

I would also like to acknowledge and congratulate Cedric Pang (Year 11) for the outstanding speech he delivered at the Moira Shire Awards Ceremony on Thursday evening. Cedric represented himself, his family, and our school with great distinction. His confidence, clarity, and thoughtfulness were a credit to him and reflect the high standard of student voice we value at our school.

On the theme of public speaking, we extend our very best wishes to Matilda Waser (Year 12) as she prepares to compete in the Lions Youth of the Year State Final, to be held in Frankston on Sunday 3 May. This is a significant achievement, and we are extremely proud of Matilda’s efforts to reach this level of the competition. We wish her every success as she represents herself, her family and our school community.

Looking ahead, there are several important and exciting events on our school calendar:

  • Our Year 11 students will travel to Melbourne next week for their Careers Camp, an important opportunity to explore future pathways and post-school options.
  • The Parents & Friends group will host the Mother’s Day Stall on 6 and 8 May, providing students with the chance to purchase thoughtful gifts for their loved ones.
  • Our Mother’s Day Breakfast will be held on Friday 8 May from 8:00am in the Performing Arts Centre (PAC). This is always a special occasion and a wonderful opportunity for families to come together.
  • The annual Cross Country event will take place on 7 May at Thompson’s Beach, and we look forward to a great day of participation and house spirit.
  • We will also host our Senior School Information Evening and Dinner on Monday 18 May. This is a key event for our current Year 6 families, as well as prospective families, to learn more about the wide range of opportunities available within our Senior School. Enquiries can be directed to enrolments@cags.vic.edu.au

Thank you once again to our entire school community for the strong start to the term. I look forward to sharing many more achievements and experiences as Term 2 progresses.
