First Peoples Assembly of Victoria Elections 2026 are coming up
For the first time in Australia, Treaty is law, right here in Victoria.
The Assembly is now wrapping up its second term and heading into democratic elections. In April, the next Assembly will be elected to represent Community in the Treaty Era.
The voting period is 21 March to 12 April 2026.
You can enrol to vote in the Assembly elections if you are a Traditional Owner of Country in Victoria (living either in Victoria or interstate) or an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person who has lived in Victoria for at least three of the last five years and are 16-years-old or over.
