Healthy Tech Habits Incursion

On Monday, our Year 3–6 students attended important workshops led by online safety educator Paris McNeil. These sessions focused on the upcoming social media ban for all Australians under 16, which will take effect on 10 December 2025.

Paris explained what the ban will involve, why it is being introduced, and how it will impact young people. Students also explored strategies to stay connected offline, build resilience, and maintain friendships without relying on social media. As gaming platforms are likely to remain exempt, the workshop included practical advice on staying safe while gaming and using other online platforms responsibly.

By the end of the session, students left feeling informed and prepared for this significant change.
