Service report – John Picco
Our fundraising for the annual Relay for Life is in full swing. Thirty-four St Augustine’s students will be walking around Barlow Park on August 1 until 10pm. So far, we have raised more than $500, placing us second in Far North Queensland. Let’s make sure we make our college proud of us. Thank you and good luck to everyone participating.

Thank you as always for the volunteers for Rosies which has been ongoing all year! We are making a huge difference to our community!
SRC report – Jonathan O’Farrell
Recently, the SRC hosted the Rosies Biathlon, bringing together athletes and supporters for a day of spirited competition and community fundraising.
A dedicated group of 12 participants laced up their running shoes and dived into the lanes, each showcasing impressive endurance and sportsmanship. After a good run and morning brekkie, we hosted a raffle with each of the participants hoping to win a pair of Saints swimmers, with Ruben Trevino claiming the prize.
Beyond the athletic achievements, the biathlon was a successful SRC initiative. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and the breakfast, the event successfully raised $230, which will be given to Rosies to help those experiencing homelessness.
Looking ahead, the SRC expressed immense pride in the event's outcome and hopes to grow this initiative in the future by attracting more participants and increasing fundraising goals.
