Musical Success 

Congratulations to Leon on his outstanding achievements at the recent music eisteddfod.

Leon was awarded first place in the M85: Bach or Mozart Solo, 10 and under-14 years categoryon 21 June, outperforming a talented field of violinists, cellists and fellow pianists.

The day before, Leon and his duet partner also secured first place in the M41: Duet on One Piano, 6 and under-14 years category.

Adding to these impressive results, Leon received a Highly Commended award in the M53: Piano Solo by an Australian Composer, Own Choice, 11 and under-14 years category.

These achievements reflect Leon's dedication, hard work and passion for music. We congratulate him on his success and wish him all the best in his future musical endeavours. 

Representative Sport

Peninsula Rugby League

Christian, Riley and Hudson travelled to Bundaberg during the school holidays for the 11-12 Rugby League State Championships. The boys represented Peninsula against 12 other regions in Queensland. They won three games, lost three games and overall came away seventh in the competition.

An amazing effort from the whole team. The boys represented not only Peninsula proudly but also did Saints proud!

Success for the Peninsula Cross Country Team 

The Peninsula Cross Country Team recorded an outstanding result  at the Queensland School State Championships. Competing against the powerhouse schools of Brisbane, Peninsula's 14 and 15 years relay teams both claimed silver medals – an incredible achievement for a regional team.

Congratulations to our Saints representatives: Ash Mayes, Lewis Williams, Louie Lesic, Kobe Roberts, Yuri Lesic and Oliver Whiteside on being part of this fantastic success.

We also congratulate Ethan Young, Lewis Williams and Yuri Lesic on their selection in the Queensland Club Cross Country Team, with Lewis crowned the Under-15 Queensland Club Cross Country Champion.

Special achievements 

Finally, I would like to acknowledge some Saints boys who have had significant achievements in recent weeks in their sporting endeavours.  

Congratulations to Samson Pittorino and Thomas King, who were named in the QLD Youth Male pre-season squad for cricket. Additionally, Samson was also named in the QLD 15–17 Years AFL team based on his performance at the recent State Championships. 

Further congratulations to Cameron Ackroyd, who has been selected to represent QLD at the Schools Trans-Tasman Squash Championships.
