National AusAlert Test – Monday 27 July

The Australian Government’s new national emergency warning messaging system, AusAlert, is conducting testing across Australia on Monday 27 July. This means mobile phones and other devices may receive a test alert message at 2pm on that day. While we will try to minimise any disruption on the day, we do encourage families and carers to let children know that if they notice any sounds, vibrations or messages, it is part of the national test.

Kinder Discover, Create, Play – Specialist Showcase

Our Discover, Create, Play afternoon was a wonderful opportunity to welcome our Kinder students and families into our Creativity Hub to experience the exciting specialist learning opportunities at Mount Pleasant Road Primary School.

Visitors explored a range of engaging, hands-on activities across our specialist programs, including Science, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Physical Education and Mandarin. Families had the chance to meet our specialist teachers, participate in interactive experiences, and see firsthand how our programs inspire curiosity, creativity and a love of learning.

It was fantastic to see so many children enthusiastically exploring, creating and discovering throughout the afternoon.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to our dedicated staff for creating a showcase of our learning.

Three Way Conferences

A sincere thank you to all the families who attended our Three-Way Conferences. We greatly appreciate the time you took to meet with teachers and your child to discuss their progress, celebrate their achievements, and set goals for their continued learning.

These conversations are an important part of building strong partnerships between home and school. Your support, encouragement, and involvement make a positive difference to your child's education.

Lunchtime Clubs - Semester 2

Lunchtime clubs are a valuable space for students to engage in a structured activity run by a staff member, make some friends and learn something new! They can be a great space for students to have a break from the business of the playground and support students to connect with one another in a calmer environment. We offer clubs that are open to both junior and senior students every single lunchtime. They run from 12:10pm - 12:40pm so that all students have the opportunity to get some fresh air and a run-around in the first half of lunch.

Have a look at our Visual Lunchtime Clubs Timetable with your child(ren) and encourage them to join in with one (or more!) this semester.

This year’s theme for National Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Educators’ Day is "Valuing OOSH Educators Every Day". OSHC Educators play an important part in our community by providing safe and engaging programs which support families to work or attend to other commitments. We would like to recognise the significant contribution our OSHC educators and program leaders make and thank them for their tirelessly work within our OSHC program and the wider school community. When you see our OSH team make sure to let them know how valued they are and your appreciation for all they do.
