It is getting very busy in Foundation 

We are looking forward to our excursion to Albury for the Pevan and Sarah concert on the 24th of November. Please ensure you fill out the forms on PAM when released next Wednesday. 

Colour Fun Run Friday 14th. Students will come to school in sports uniform and then change into their white t-shirt later in the day. (You might want a towel in your car – they will be messy and a change of clothes for bus travellers!) 

Swimming Week 6  

It would be very helpful if your child comes to school with their bathers on under their uniform. Please pack a pair of thongs/slides for your child to wear to the pool. Sports uniform can be worn all week, but please make sure all clothing is named.  

Hats  

 As it is now Term Four it is essential that your child has a hat every day.  The school has a ‘No Hat, No Play Policy’ which is now being reinforced.  

In Class 

We are very proud of our hard-working students. In Mathematics we are working on Place Value and making numbers with tens and ones. 

In Literacy we are learning to read and spell 4 and 5 letter words. We are very impressed with their progress so far in decoding these words. 

Please keep encouraging and supporting your child with their home reading. As the texts are getting longer and more complex, practising at home really assists their understanding and progress.  

Baby chicks loading... 

We are very excited that we have 24 eggs in an incubator in the classroom. In 2 weeks we are hoping to see chicks hatch. A huge thank you goes to Stuart and Sarah Iddles for supplying the eggs for us. We look forward to seeing them hatch and learning about the life cycle of chickens in our Inquiry unit.

Ditto 

On Tuesday we had a visit from Bravehearts and met Ditto. This is a great program which reinforces child safety. Ask your child about the Three Safety Rules and their five adults they can put on their safety team!

Please pass on our thanks to all of the beautiful Grandparents that came into our room last Friday. It was lovely to meet them. The students were thrilled to share their learning with their Grandparents!
