Specialists

This week, our Years 3–6 students were visited by Constable Hayley McDonald, who delivered an engaging and informative session on being cyber safe. Constable Hayley spoke to students about the importance of making smart choices online, protecting personal information, and recognising the signs of unsafe or inappropriate online behaviour.
She also discussed the impact of social media, gaming, and online communication, reminding students to always think before they post or share. The session encouraged students to speak up if something doesn’t feel right and to seek help from trusted adults.
We are very grateful to Constable Hayley for taking the time to visit and help our students develop safe and responsible online habits that will serve them well both now and in the future.
Music
It’s been another exciting week in the Music Room!
Our Grade 3 students have been busy learning to play “Smoke on the Water” and “Hot Cross Buns” on the guitar, showing great progress with their finger placement and rhythm. Other Grade 3/4 classes have been working on the recorder, focusing on correct hand position, breathing techniques, and mastering “Hot Cross Buns.”
In Grades 1 and 2, students have been exploring musical notation and practising with percussion instruments, creating and performing their own rhythmic patterns.
Our Foundation students have been experimenting with beat and rhythm through fun songs and movement activities, discovering how music can be felt, heard, and created in different ways.
It’s wonderful to see all year levels making music together and growing in confidence each week!
