A Word from Justin
Term 2, Week 10 - Friday 26th June, 2026
Dear Families of OLSC,
As we come to the end of another busy and successful school term, I would like to take a moment to thank each and every one of our students for their hard work, enthusiasm and positive attitude. Throughout the term, you have all embraced your learning, challenged yourselves in the Learning Spaces and shown great determination in all your schoolwork. I have also been delighted to see the energy, teamwork and friendship you have displayed during playtimes, sporting activities and special events.
Our school is a wonderful place because of the kindness, creativity and enthusiasm that the communty brings each day. Whether you were learning something new, helping a friend, participating in school activities or simply giving your best effort, you have all contributed to making this term a success.
Thank you for representing our school so positively. I am incredibly proud of all that you have achieved and the way you have supported one another throughout the term.
I hope you enjoy a well-deserved break, spend time with family and friends and return next term refreshed and ready for new opportunities and challenges. On behalf the students and families I would also like to sincerely thank the hard working and dedicated staff of OLSC and wish them a relaxing break - thank you for all that you do.
Well done and thank you all for a fantastic term.
Last weekend 22 of our students received the sacrament of the Eucharist for the first time and our Community Mass. This mass was meticulously prepared by John Dini and the students were very impressive in their preparation and particiuation in Sunday's celebration.
Thank you to all of the staff that were able to attend on Sunday and to Hayley, Anthony and Ben for preparing the students with the support of John and Sandy. Thank you also to Imogen, Jamie and Tina for preparing and guiding the choir.

On Tuesday some of the students from the Yr 3 and Yr 4 attended Eagle stadium to take part in Hoop Time. They represented OLSC in a very impressive way and Michelle was one very proud teacher! They were very successful and our 2 teams played each other in the final!!

There has been some great progress in our new building sonce the last newsletter. The building has been wrapped, most of the roofing has been installed and the wall cladding has been installed just in the last few days. Hopefully over the break the galziers will install our windows and we move to 'lock up' stage.

Unfortunately our July community mass has been cancelled. On this weekend the school will not have any power as the new building power supply and associated works are completed by Powercore and our electricians. I apologise for this though it is unavoidable as we get closer to moving into our new building.
If anyone in your family has an achievement that could be shared in the newsletter and is worthy of celebration and acknowledgement, please email Justin to be included in the next newsletter.
