German Poster Competition Success

Last Friday's whole school assembly was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our students in the annual South Australian German Teachers Association (SAGTA) Poster Competition.

In the Reception–Year 2 category, our entrants were Katina Patitsas, Archie Hansen and Emma Yeung. The theme for this age group was the famous tale of William Tell. We are delighted to congratulate Katina, whose poster depicting the iconic scene of William Tell shooting the apple from his son's head was awarded third place.

In the Year 3–5 category, students explored landmarks from Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Our entrants were Chaise W, Clara K and Ivy S. We are proud to announce that we had two winners in this category. Chaise W received second place for her beautiful poster featuring Schloss Vaduz with handmade pink paper roses in the foreground, while Clara K was awarded third place for her poster intricately made with tiny pieces of paper in montage style, showcasing the stunning Château de Chillon.

Congratulations to all students who represented our school with creativity, effort and enthusiasm. We look forward to participating in the competition again later this year, when the theme will be Rhineland-Pfalz, a state in western Germany.
