LNPS Soccer Academy – Program Update

Over the past few weeks, the players of LNPS have been introduced to the foundations in both attacking and defending, aligned with the Valencia CF methodology. In attack, the focus has been on building confidence to play forward with purpose. Players are improving their decision-making in the final third while learning to recognise and create space through intelligent movement. 

Defensively, there has been a strong emphasis on reacting quickly to win the ball back, forcing opposition play into controlled areas, and improving body positioning and timing, in defensive actions. Just as importantly, these football principles are being delivered through values that strongly align with the school community, including respect, discipline, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The group is progressing towards a clear team identity, showing greater intensity, improved awareness, and behaviours that reflect both Valencia CF and the school’s shared standards on and off the pitch.

Program Overview

The Soccer Academy will continue to run during school hours at the following times:

• Tuesday Afternoons – Year 3/4 🕜 1:30pm – 3:00pm
• Thursday Afternoons – Year 5/6 🕜 1:30pm – 3:00pm

Each session runs for 90 minutes, with additional time for organisation and handover.
