Across three huge nights, the Rock Symphony – Latin Fiesta brought the San Damiano to life, with standing ovations on most evenings and an atmosphere that truly celebrated the power of live music and entertainment.
Featuring a spectacular 150-piece orchestra and an 80-voice choir, from Mount Alvernia, Padua and St Anthony’s school the performances were nothing short of breathtaking. The stage was further elevated by our outstanding guest artists Jon Eggleton and Mandy Woodend, alongside exceptional past student performers including Oscar Lowe, Mariana Campo, and current student soloists Niamh Halfpenny, Monica Milano and Riley Pacey.
Audiences were taken on a vibrant musical journey, with electrifying performances inspired by Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Michael Bublé, and Santana including a crowd-favourite “Conga” that had the hall buzzing with energy.
From the driving percussion to the rich choral textures, the San Damiano was alive with the sound of Latin rhythms, showcasing the incredible talent, dedication, and spirit of our students and staff.
What a night, and what a celebration of music, community, and excellence.
