World Environment Day

This morning, our community came together to celebrate World Environment Day, grounded in our Franciscan spirit of “Rooted in Responsibility.”  This event is an initiative within our Franciscan Centre for Innovative and Ethical Leadership. 🌱

Together, we shared in the joy of fresh produce through our Grow It Forward initiative, before reflecting on the ways we can care more deeply for our common home. Through insights from our Curator of Gardens and College Principal, we were reminded that sustainability is not just a practice but a responsibility we all carry.

As we walked through La Foresta, it became clear that this space is so much more than a garden, it is the “lungs” of our College, nurturing wellbeing, connection, and a deep respect for creation.

It was a joy to welcome our wider community, to learn from one another and to share the small, meaningful actions that make a difference each day.

This World Environment Day, may we continue to live our Franciscan values - caring for the earth, for one another, and for future generations. 🌏💚
