Worship and Assembly Videos
So parents don't miss out when you can't make it along to Worship and Assemblies, we will endeavour to film these to make them available for families to view. You can access videos via the link in the 'School Favourites' tile on the Compass App or Portal. Videos will remain available for viewing for approximately 4 weeks after the event.
Please note these are raw videos and not professionally filmed or produced, and whilst we aim to have these up for all Worship and Assemblies, there may be times when this is not possible.
We ask that you please do not share any part of these videos on any platform.
Pilgrim School Family Community Event
We are looking forward to our Marion Outdoor Pool Community Event tomorrow, Saturday 14th February 3.00-6.00pm. You should already have booked your place but please contact Kristen Heath with any last minute changes.
P&F will be providing a free sausage sizzle on the afternoon or you can bring your own food and drink or use the kiosk. Thank you to those who have volunteered to help out with cooking or serving. We would still welcome some additional help if you are available.
Commencement Worship
This week we held a special Worship when we dedicated our school year, staff, and the introduction of our FTL Foundation students by their Year 6 buddies, including a presentation of Foundation Bibles. It was lovely to have so many families join us.
Our Foundation L students will be introduced by their Year 6 buddies and be presented with a Bible, at Worship on Tuesday 24th February (please note this is a change of day from our regular Wednesday Worship due to our Year 5/6 excursion that week). You are most welcome to join us in the Performing Arts Centre (PAC) at 8.55am.
School Photo Day
School Photo Day will be held on Wednesday 18th February. All students are required to wear formal summer uniform, as per our uniform policy. It is also helpful that students' shoes are clean and polished. Students that have their PE lessons on Wednesday will need to come to school in their summer uniform and bring their PE uniform to change into after photographs have been taken.
Orders can be placed through the Compass Parent portal. Sibling photos can also be ordered. Please contact the Front Office if you require any assistance.
Relief Teachers
Due to the nationwide teacher shortage, schools across Australia are finding it increasingly difficult to secure short-term relief teachers (TRTs), and Pilgrim is no exception. With fewer graduates entering the profession, increasing workloads, and many experienced teachers stepping away from teaching, these challenges are being felt across all schools. We are deeply grateful for our dedicated teaching team and the expertise, care, and commitment they show our children each day. If you know of a Christian teacher who may be interested in joining our TRT list, we would warmly welcome them to contact the Front Office for more information.
Volunteering at Pilgrim School
We love having volunteers in a range of roles at Pilgrim School and on Campus. If you have some available time, you may want to help in classrooms (e.g. listening to reading), become involved with a program working regularly with a student or small group of students, sports coaching or managing, fundraising, helping in the Library, or attending camps or excursions.
If you are considering volunteering at Pilgrim School, please read our Volunteers Guidelines and Code of Conduct.
Our highest priority is to ensure we maintain a safe environment at Pilgrim School for all children and members of our school community. All volunteers need to register through our online Volunteer Registration and Agreement form:
As you will see, volunteers need to provide details of a current ‘Working with Children Check’ certificate, 'Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care' (RRHAN-EC) certificate and it is highly recommended they also complete an online Protective Practices training. Details of accessing these trainings are included in the Volunteer Registration and Agreement Form and on our website.
Please continue to sign in and out through the Front Office each time you volunteer at Pilgrim School. Thank you.

Coffee Connections in 2026
This term we will be trialling a simple way for families to gather, chat, and build community. We’d love you to join us for Coffee Connections on Thursday 12th March (Week 7), directly after school pick up till 4:30pm. This will be a relaxed time to enjoy a cuppa, connect with other families, and strengthen the sense of belonging that makes our school so special.
Come as you are - stay for a few minutes or the whole session. Your presence and participation will help us shape what this space could become.

Belong and Blossom Playgroup
Belong and Blossom is for children 0 - 5 years old and their parents and/or carers. It takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9.00am - 10.45am during the school term in the Tween room. Please contact the Front Office, so you can receive our weekly emails letting you know about the week ahead. Registration takes place during your first playgroup session.
This is a time to connect with other parents and for your child to begin their connection with Pilgrim and some of the teachers in the Early Years team. We have story, craft and play times. We share fruit together and end our session with a story and some songs.
