Year 3 and Year 4
Celebrations
A big shout-out to Ms Dixon for looking after our wonderful Year 3 students this term. She has loved getting to know all of the students.
Book Week
Our Year 3 and 4 students had the best week during Book Week, where they dressed up, participated in all sorts of literacy activities and enjoyed Book Week rotations. Well done to the amazing parents and children who dressed up.
You all looked magnificent!
Maths
Our Year 3 students have been exploring 3D shapes and learning how to identify and describe their different features.
They have enjoyed creating and constructing 3D nets, discovering how 2D shapes can come together to form 3D objects. It has been fantastic to see students getting hands-on with their learning and developing their understanding of shapes, faces, edges and vertices.
Literacy 3's and 4's
Our Year 3 and 4 students have been enjoying Book Week rotations between the two classes. They are exploring The Colours of Home and The Emperor’s Egg, reading each story together and discussing the characters, themes and messages within the books. Students will also be creating some beautiful artwork to accompany their stories, allowing them to bring their learning and creativity to life.
Athletics
A big shout-out to our wonderful Year 3 and 4 students who headed to Dunkin McKinnon on Friday for Athletics! 🏃♀️🏃♂️
We were incredibly proud to see our students give their best, cheer each other on and show such fantastic sportsmanship throughout the day. We were thrilled to come home with a few first-place finishes, but even more proud of the way our students represented the Sacred Heart community.
A huge congratulations to all our students for their efforts, encouragement and positive attitude. You should all be very proud of yourselves!
A very special shout-out to Mr Jaynes for organising and running such a fantastic day. We really appreciate all the time and effort that goes into making these events such a success!
