Book Week

Symphony of Stories
What a wonderful celebration of Book Week we have enjoyed. This year’s theme, Symphony of Stories, came to life through a range of engaging activities that celebrated literature, imagination and the joy of reading. It was wonderful to see our students and staff embrace the occasion, with an extraordinary level of participation and creativity across the school.
Thank you also to our families for the time, effort and enthusiasm invested in preparing costumes and joining us for the parade. The strong involvement of our entire community speaks volumes about the value we place on books, reading and the rich opportunities stories provide for our children.
Our Book Fair brought great excitement, it was wonderful to see so many students and families browsing the wide selection of books and sharing their enthusiasm for reading. Thanks to the incredible support of our school community, almost $4,500 was spent at the Book Fair. As a result, our school received $1,500 to put towards purchasing new books and resources for our students. This is a fantastic outcome that will directly benefit children across the school.
Thank you to everyone who visited, made a purchase and supported the Book Fair. Your generosity not only helps foster a lifelong love of reading but also enables us to continue building our collection of engaging, high-quality books for students to enjoy.
Congratulations to our Book Fair raffle winners:
- $30 Book Fair voucher – Evaliah
- $20 Book Fair voucher – Sophie C
$10 Book Fair voucher – Oliver M
Congratulations also to Amelia S and Sadie St, the winners of our Book Week Colouring Competition, who each received a $25 voucher to spend at the Book Fair.
Well done to all our winners, we hope you all enjoyed Book Week at Sacred Heart.
Last, but certainly not least, a special shout-out to our Book Week assembly performers, who proudly choreographed and presented their very own cheer and dance.
