Adventure Between the Pages- 🎡 A Symphony of Stories 🎡

What do you get when you mix hundreds of excited children, a whole lot of fabulous costumes, some very enthusiastic dancing and a hall full of books? A Symphony of Stories, of course! πŸŽΆπŸ“–

The excitement was rattling through the school from the moment the day began, with princesses, superheroes, witches, wizards, wild animals and all sorts of wonderful book characters appearing around every corner! πŸ‘‘πŸ¦Έβ€β™€οΈπŸ§™β€β™‚οΈπŸ―

The whole school then gathered in the hall for our much anticipated Book Week Parade. Class by class, our students strutted, skipped, danced and occasionally forgot which way they were meant to be going as they showed off their spectacular costumes. With the music pumping and everyone joining in, the hall quickly turned into the biggest dance party in the school! πŸ’ƒπŸ•Ί

STEM in Action!Β

Who knew Book Week could be a STEM project? One of our clever students combined creativity, design and technology to create and 3D-print their very own Book Week mask at home!

Well done to Quinn Gelsumini for demonstrating how STEM skills can be used to bring an imaginative idea to life. Β πŸš€

The Simpsons, Bringing Springfield to Book Week! Β Β

Talk about taking Book Week to the next level! The Grau Molina family decided to step into the world of The Simpsons, bringing the much loved characters to life with their own handmade costumes. With Mum getting creative and sewing the costumes herself, the whole family worked together to create a fun, colourful and memorable Book Week transformation. We absolutely loved seeing their creativity, teamwork and imagination shine! πŸ“šβœ¨

Back in their classrooms, the Book Week fun continued with a range of exciting rotations based on some much loved Book Week stories. Each class travelled between the junior classrooms, where teachers shared a special story before students got creative with a fun craft activity inspired by the book.

There were stories to enjoy, crafts to create and plenty of smiles along the way! It was the perfect way to celebrate what Book Week is all about Β a love of stories, creativity and letting our imaginations run wild! πŸ“–βœ¨

All Aboard our Metro Train Incursion πŸš‚

Gallery Image

Our Year One and Year Two students were thrilled to welcome Metro Trains to school for a special visit! πŸš† The students had a fantastic time learning all about how to stay safe when travelling on trains and around railway stations. They learnt important safety rules, including standing behind the yellow line, waiting for the train to come to a complete stop, staying with an adult and keeping hands and belongings safely inside the train. There were plenty of questions, curious minds and even a few future train drivers in the making! πŸ‘©β€βœˆοΈπŸ‘¨β€βœˆοΈ It was a fun and engaging session that reminded us that when it comes to trains, being safe is always the most important stop! πŸš‰βœ¨

✨ Welcome Miss P to 2BM

2BM have been exceptionally lucky to welcome Miss P, our wonderful pre-service teacher, who will be joining us for the remainder of the term! She has already taken to 2BM like a duck to water πŸ¦† and we were blown away by how quickly she learned everyone’s names... on her very first day! πŸ‘

We are absolutely loving having Miss P join our classroom and bring her own special sprinkle of teaching magic.Β

Science Week has been full of wonder, curiosity and plenty of hands on experimenting! Our Year 2 students have been busy exploring levers as part of their Toy Design unit, designing and creating their very own catapults using simple materials. Prep and Year One have been investigating electricity, exploring both current and static electricity with plenty of hair raising fun along the way! To celebrate Science Week, our junior students also enjoyed watching Meet the Robinsons and making their very own sherbet. A huge thank you to our wonderful STEM teacher Miss Allen for making the week so special. ⚑
