Year 7 Wellbeing Day

On Tuesday 14 May, our Year 7 students immersed themselves in a Wellbeing Day focused on tolerance, acceptance and positive decision-making. Supported by their GOAL Mentors, they delved into the Positive Change Makers program by the Centre for Multicultural Youth, exploring values-based leadership, team building and active citizenship. Through engaging activities and discussions, they honed their skills as future leaders and tackled real-world challenges head-on. A day filled with growth, empathy and empowerment!

Wellbeing Day was a great day where we learnt all about teamwork and other things along those lines, for the entire day. We spent the day in rooms which consisted of about 2-3 GOAL groups. We stayed in the same rooms each session and played a few games along the way. In general, Wellbeing Day was very educational, and it was a great way to meet new people. For example, we were put in random groups and had to produce an idea that would benefit society, and believe me, there were some crazy ideas! But I must admit, none of this would have been possible without our two instructors. Huge thanks to them! Finally, by far my favourite part was the pizza lunch. There were plenty of slices to go around, and I don’t think anybody went back to class hungry. Anyway, Wellbeing Day was a blast. We made new friends, learnt new things, and had pizza for lunch! What more could you want?

On Year 7 Wellbeing Day, we learned about leadership, citizenship and

personal strengths. We played a game of Shark Tank which lots of people

found enjoying. My favourite part of Wellbeing Day was the agree or disagree game and the pizza lunch we had during third session. Almost everyone enjoyed the pizza lunch. We had 3 - 4 slices of pizza, some people had TEN! It was a fun and enjoyable day for Year 7's.

Last Monday, the Year 7 students had their Wellbeing Day. Everyone had such a great time learning about leadership. We played lots of fun games that help us to speak up for ourselves. We also had an amazing pizza lunch that everyone enjoyed. What an amazing day!
