Principal Report

As we reach the end of Term 3, we take the opportunity to reflect on the wonderful learning experiences and student celebrations that have taken place across our school.

We celebrated our Foundation students reaching 100 Days of School, engaged in a range of exciting Science Week activities, and proudly showcased our students’ learning and creativity during the Writers’ Festival. We are incredibly proud of the effort and enthusiasm our students have demonstrated throughout the term. It has been a privilege to watch them grow as confident, curious and engaged learners.

Our students’ team spirit, resilience and athletic abilities were also on full display during the many sporting events held throughout the term, including our Athletics Carnival, Rugby Tag and 5/6 Tennis. These opportunities allow our students to represent RPPS in the wider community while demonstrating our school values of Learning, Cooperation and Respect.

At RPPS, we believe in providing students with meaningful real-life learning experiences beyond the classroom. Our Year 3/4 Day Camp was a great success, while our P–2 students thoroughly enjoyed their experiences at Bundoora Park and the National Theatre. These excursions provide valuable opportunities for students to connect with their local community, develop independence and strengthen their academic, social and emotional learning.

I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our teaching staff who work tirelessly to make these valuable learning experiences possible. The organisation, planning and preparation required for these events often begins months in advance and requires our teachers to dedicate significant time beyond the school day. I am incredibly grateful to work alongside such a committed and dedicated team who consistently place our students at the centre of all that they do.

As we look ahead to Term 4, we are excited to welcome our new 2027 Foundation students to RPPS as they begin their transition-to-school program. This is a wonderful and exciting time for our future students as they take their first steps towards developing a sense of belonging, confidence and connection to our school community. These transition experiences play an important role in establishing strong foundations for a positive and successful start to their school journey.

It has been a busy and rewarding term, filled with opportunities for our students to learn, grow, connect and celebrate. We look forward to building on these experiences as we continue our learning journey together. I wish you all a happy and safe holiday break
