Hidden Gem
We discovered a hidden gem in our midst through a writing exercise in class.
Charlotte (Year 5) shared that she won 2nd place in a Calisthenics Graceful Solo Competition on the weekend! There were 50 participants in all. Calisthenics is a mix of acro and ballet for any ages from 3 to over 25, as well as coaching to any age above 30.
Charlotte said that she had been practising for about a month, and she has two more competitions coming up! We wish you all the very best, Charlotte! What an amazing achievement!
Winners - Clean Up Australia Day (Bin Poster Competition)
At the beginning of March, the Shire teamed up with the Keep Australia Beautiful Council to run a Bin Poster Competition. 29 of our students between Years 3 to 6 took part in the competition. The Shire received 40 poster designs, and out of that, we have 4 winners! They are:
- Rebani Lehal (Year 3)
- Sophie Merry (Year 5)
- Leonardo Furfaro (Year 6)
- Yvonne Kahashi (Year 6)
They have each won themselves a voucher, and their poster design will be turned into stickers which will go on the Shire's public bins!
Well done to all our students!
