Student Wellbeing

Hi everyone, the end of week 8 with the holidays not too far away 😊
As we push through these final two weeks, possibly with a little exhaustion being experienced by both children and adults, it is a timely reminder about being mindful and allowing ourselves to find time to be joyful, stop and to just ‘be’.
In today’s rush, we all think too much—seek too much—want too much—and forget about the joy of just being.

Mindfulness Activities
The following link offers information and ideas to assist you with your children, from early years through to teenagers, to allow for stillness and time to reflect.

Maggie Dent, is an ambassador of the App, Smiling Minds and she details an example of how her own childhood was marinated in nature as she enjoyed her younger years growing up on a farm. Looking back now as an adult, Maggie acknowledges how blessed she was to have so much of a natural landscape around her in those tender years.
We may not have a farm like Maggie, but we do have many places, including our own backyard to be able to stop and spend time in silence.
Although we all have busy-ness in our lives, if we allow time for reflection, I am sure we will find many moments to celebrate.
RAINBOWS
A reminder that if you feel your child/ren may benefit from this program due to family circumstances, your expression of interest needs to be completed as soon as possible and returned to the college.
Until next time 😊
