From the Assistant Principal's Desk (Springvale Campus)

It has been a wonderfully busy and joyful time at our Springvale Campus as we head towards the end of Term 3.

This week, the FLC was buzzing with excitement as we held our annual Father’s Day celebration. Dads, grandfathers, special friends – and even a few mums, joined us for a morning filled with laughter, games and activities. It was heartwarming to see families spending time together and our students were especially proud to present the thoughtful gifts they had carefully prepared. These small tokens carried a big message of gratitude and love, making the morning all the more memorable.

Springvale Campus was also the proud host of the Annual Women’s Health Forum this week. This important event continues to be a highlight on our calendar, providing a space for women in our community to connect, share valuable information and reflect on the importance of health and wellbeing. It was a celebration of the strength, resilience, and vital role that women play as the backbone of our families and communities.

We are grateful to all the families who joined us at these events. Your presence and involvement help us nurture the warm, connected and supportive school community that makes Springvale Rise so special.

In other news, our Kitchen Garden Program continues to be a highlight for students in the MLC, giving them the chance to connect with nature and learn valuable cooking skills. This week, the excitement was all about broccoli! After carefully tending to the plants, students proudly harvested fresh broccoli from our garden and then headed to the kitchen to put it to good use. Together, they cooked up delicious broccoli fritters – a healthy treat that was enjoyed by all. It was a wonderful way for students to see the full journey from garden to plate and to experience the joy of growing, cooking and sharing food.

With only a few weeks left in the term, we look forward to carrying this positive energy and learning enthusiasm all the way through to the holidays!
