Student Sporting Success

Congratulations to Year 8 student Matilda Forrest who is currently representing Tasmania at the School Sport Australia Swimming Championships in Sydney at Olympic Park. Between the swimming and diving events, there are over 1100 competitors from around Australia representing their states.

Matilda, who swims for The Hobart Aquatic Club, swam the 50m Butterfly in 31.86 which was a PB and 16th in her age group, the 200m IM in 2.39.30 which was another PB and 12th in her age group and the 100m Freestyle in 1.15.92 a further PB and 12th again in her age group. She still has 50m Backstroke to compete in later in the meet. What amazing results!

Congratulations also to Maddie Marshall (Year 7) who is currently representing Tasmania at the School Sport Australia Cross Country Championships being held in Canberra, ACT.

Congratulations to Maighan Arnold (Year 9), Arielle Cannell (Year 9), Bella Burt (Year 9), Addison Broadbent (Year 8) and Lacey Tilyard (Year 9) on recently representing Tasmania at the U15 School Sport Australia Championships for AFLW in Ballarat, Victoria.
