Who's Who in the Primary?

Kaye Linton

So who is in the Primary School?

This term we welcomed Kaye Linton into the Primary as a Teacher Assistant and in this edition of The View we have asked Kaye to introduce herself to our community.

Hi everyone, firstly I’d just like to say a heartfelt thank you for welcoming me so warmly into the Mount Carmel community.  I am loving being here and think I just about know most faces and names now.  For those I haven’t had a chance to meet yet, I am looking forward to having a chat soon.

So just a bit about me, I’ve been a TA/Education Support Specialist for the last 14 years with both Department of Education and Catholic Education, in the north-west and the Hobart area and have loved every moment of it.

My passions are working with children with additional needs and supporting literacy in the Early Years. Being a TA really is the most rewarding job; I love the close connections and relationships we make with the children and their families.

When I’m not at school I have a few hobbies that keep me busy. I enjoy classical music, reading and making soap. I’m also teaching myself to play the ukulele but trying more of a classical style than strumming so it’s a bit of a slow process. After a busy week I enjoy long walks at the beach and visiting my kids and granddogs. As the year progresses I am looking forward to getting to know everyone better and becoming more involved in school activities.
