All Things Hub
Springvale Rise Primary School Community Hub
It has been another busy and vibrant couple of weeks in the Community Hub!
Our playgroup sessions have been full of energy, with mums and young children enjoying songs, craft activities and plenty of play-based learning together. It is wonderful to see the little ones building confidence, while mums connect and form friendships with others in the community.

Our English conversation classes continue to grow, with women practising their English in a supportive environment. Over the past two weeks we have been focusing on everyday conversations and building confidence to communicate with teachers, services and the wider community.

The Women’s Friendship Group has also been a special space for connection. The women have been coming together to share stories, support one another and enjoy time out of the home. These sessions are an important opportunity for women to build confidence, friendships and a sense of belonging.

Families have also continued to access our Food Relief program, which provides essential food staples to support families in our community. We are incredibly grateful to our volunteers and partners who help make this possible. This term we have been fortunate to partner with FoodFilled a Melbourne-based not-for-profit food rescue charity that collects surplus food from supermarkets, cafes, bakeries and food retailers and redistributes it to charities and community organisations that support people in need. If you’re interested in volunteering, please get in touch with me.

It is always wonderful to see so many families using the Hub space, connecting with one another and supporting each other.
