Student Voice - Springvale Campus
It has been a busy and exciting time at our school, with many opportunities for students to learn, grow and take part in special events. From celebrating our new student leaders to preparing for NAPLAN and upcoming school activities, there has been a lot happening across our school community!
Last week was a unique and special week for our school as we introduced our second group of leaders for 2026 at our SPECIAL assembly. We were so proud of those who were selected and very proud of those who tried their best and gave it their all throughout the selection process. Everyone involved showed great effort, determination, and courage in stepping forward and taking on this opportunity. It has been an amazing experience to watch them grow, learn, and continue becoming the best they can be. Throughout this journey, all our Year 5 students have shown responsibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude. We are excited to see the positive and lasting impact they will make as leaders and how they will help support, encourage, and inspire our school community throughout the year.
This week, our Grade 3 and Grade 5 students have been working hard to prepare for NAPLAN. They have been practising different types of questions to help them become familiar with the format and build their confidence. We are very proud of the effort and determination our students have shown during this time. Not only that, but we are also very proud of how much they have improved and hope they continue working hard to achieve their best.
Athletics Day is coming up soon, and we are so excited about the participants who will be representing our school in different athletics events. It is always a great opportunity for students to get involved, challenge themselves, and show our school spirit. We are very proud of everyone who participated in the event try outs and gave their best effort.
In Week 9, our school will celebrate a special event called Harmony Day. Harmony Day is a time when our whole school community comes together to celebrate different cultures. We are excited to see everyone wearing their traditional clothing and proudly representing their countries. There will also be fun activities like dancing and singing for everyone to enjoy.
This week, on the 18th of March, the School and Vice Captains from the Heights and Springvale campuses attended the Melbourne Primary Dream & Lead conference at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. We were all very grateful for the amazing opportunity to attend this conference and listen to other leaders’ ideas. This gave us a wonderful chance to share our voices and ideas to help improve our community in many ways.
Overall, it has been a fantastic time filled with learning, effort, and exciting opportunities for our students. We are very proud of everyone for their hard work and positive attitudes. We look forward to the many events and achievements still to come this term.
