Performing Arts

On Wednesday, 7th May, the VET Music cohort travelled to the Capital Theatre in Bendigo for the prestigious Top Class showcase, featuring last year’s most outstanding performers in Dance, Music, Drama, and Theatre Studies. After witnessing these inspiring acts, the students stayed for an insightful Q&A session, where they asked thoughtful questions about practice routines and overcoming performance anxiety. The experience wrapped up on a sweet note—ice cream enjoyed before the train ride home!
Fast forward to the 14th, and our talented students stepped into the spotlight for their first public showcase. Parents and friends were treated to a vibrant evening filled with stunning covers and original compositions, brought to life by bands and soloists. Their passion and hard work truly shone through in every performance.
Meanwhile, the Production Company has been in full swing, completing two intensive days of rehearsals. From sourcing props and costumes to refining Front of House operations, perfecting lighting and sound design, blocking scenes, singing, and even moments of socializing—the team has been working tirelessly to bring Into the Woods to life. The production is shaping up to be something truly spectacular, so don’t miss your chance to secure tickets when they go on sale soon!
