Year 10 Outdoor Education students are gearing up for camp!

With camp just around the corner, students have been getting hands-on and putting their practical Outdoor Education skills to the test. Their preparation began with an introductory Trangia lesson, where students learned the fundamentals of camp cooking, including how to safely set up and use their cooking equipment and prepare meals in an outdoor environment.

Students then took to the oval for a little friendly competition, racing against the clock to see who could set up their tents the fastest. Working together, they had to communicate effectively, divide tasks and problem-solve as they navigated the challenge.

These practical lessons have been a fantastic way for students to build confidence and develop the skills they will rely on during camp. From cooking and camping to teamwork, communication and problem-solving, students are gaining valuable experience while having plenty of fun along the way.

With their Trangias tested, tents pitched and teamwork skills strengthened, our Year 10 Outdoor Education students are looking well prepared for the adventures ahead!
