Unicorn Girl

Well done to our Unicornians for their two very successful performances at St Martin’s Youth Theatre in South Yarra. 

It takes a lot of time and effort to take a script from the page to performing to two packed audiences but the cast of Unicorn Girl should be very proud of what they achieved. Despite last minute blocking changes - sorry to Jamie and all the chairs - to someone messing up their sound cues - me again - to blackouts that were too dark, the show went on with aplomb!

The four Year 10 students who shared the director role worked tirelessly to ensure that there was cohesion across their sections but they also got to do their own theatrical spin on things. Well done to Cassie, Meadow, Jamie and Elodie for being such great leaders!

Also a big thank you to Immi who joined us very last minute as our lighting tech - we literally couldn’t have done it without you - and Adam Cribbes who also jumped into that role when needed. 

Skye and I loved seeing the confidence and camaraderie grow throughout the rehearsal period and seeing these young performers owning the stage is really a testament to their hard work and dedication.
