Wellbeing Update

As we come to the end of term, the Wellbeing Team has been reflecting on what really matters in our work with students. While this term hasn’t been filled with lots of formal activities, it has been rich in connection, inclusion and everyday moments that build a strong sense of belonging.

One of the highlights of the term was our celebration of IDAHOBIT Day, which brought colour, creativity and joy to the school community. The lunchtime celebration was full of dancing, catwalking, creative expression on the windows, glow-up stations and a jar full of stars; a powerful reminder of the importance of visibility, acceptance and pride. It was wonderful to see students expressing themselves freely and supporting one another in such an affirming space.

We also finished the term recognising Autistic Pride Day, acknowledging the importance of pride, identity and acceptance for autistic people. Recognition of this day provides the opportunity to celebrate neurodiversity and to reinforce our commitment to creating a school environment where difference is respected and valued.

Above all, our wellbeing work happens every day; in conversations, check-ins, quiet support, and moments of trust. As always, we value our interactions with each individual student and feel privileged to work alongside you every day.

We wish all students and families a safe, restful and well-earned break, and we look forward to reconnecting next term.

Hi PHSC Community!

Divergents is a student-run group for neurodivergent, neurotypical students and staff. At Divergents we aim to create a fun and safe space for all students. We plan neurodiversity pride day events, chat, organise initiatives and discuss how we could improve the school environment for neurodivergent students.

In the next term feel free to bring your friends and lunch along with you on Thursdays in Room 212 weekly.

For the first Divergents meeting on the 16th of July, we will have snacks, treats and activities! We hope to see you there!
