School Council Update

Term 2 School Council Update
Our school community has had an active Term 2, with many events that brought students, families and friends together in true Prinnie Hill spirit.
Movie Night
On 19 June 2026, we held a Movie Night featuring The Legend of Ochi. The event was well attended, with many students and families gathering to enjoy the film together. The feedback has been great, with many attendees already asking if we can do it again - so watch this space! Many thanks to all organisers and helpers, and a special thanks to Madman for generously allowing us to screen the movie.
Working Bee brings the School Community together
We held a highly productive working bee in May, with volunteers rolling up their sleeves to tackle a wide range of jobs around the Mirimbah Campus. It was wonderful to see a mix of year levels and families working side by side. Beyond the practical achievements, the working bee was a great opportunity for community building, strengthening connections and shared efforts to improve our school environment. The next working bee opportunity in Mirimbah will be at the beginning of Term 4 (weekend of 16-18 October 2026). Mark it in your calendars as a great opportunity to have fun and chip in.
Looking ahead to Next Term
There is plenty to look forward to next term:
Trivia Night: The ever-popular Trivia Night will take place on Friday, 14 August 2026. If you are interested in helping organise this event, please let the front office know. The Fun(d)raising Committee could always do with some support, and we would love your help in making it another memorable evening. Otherwise, keep an eye on the compass feed and be quick to get your tickets, as this event sells out fast.
Cake Stall: A group of parents have decided to run a cake stall at the upcoming Student Council Night Market on Friday, 21 August 2026, to raise some funds for the school. We will need lots of helping hands, whether you bake or can spare some time to take a shift at the stall or simply eat cake. If you can help in any way, please get in touch by texting 0403 800 747. More communication about this will follow in the coming weeks.
Annual Report: The Princes Hill Secondary College 2025 Annual Report will be presented to the school community later in Term 3. Come along if you're interested in hearing more about the 2025 Annual Report and meeting School Council members. Invites will be sent via Compass.
Thank you to everyone (students, teachers, staff, families and councillors) who have contributed their time, energy and enthusiasm to recent activities. It’s this level of involvement that makes Princes Hill Secondary School such a lovely community. We look forward to seeing many of you at upcoming events next term!
