Year 10 Work Experience

During the final week of Term 2, our Year 10 students stepped up to experience work in a wide range of professional contexts. We received glowing feedback about their curious, proactive attitudes and strong interpersonal skills.

Pictured here are Lucy McKenzie at the Nine Network and Marley Caves at La Trobe University's Institute for Molecular Science. Lucy experienced working in Nine's busy newsroom, supporting live broadcast crosses, and with accomplished presenter Shane Delia on Nine's travel and lifestyle show: Postcards. Meanwhile, Marley worked alongside experts within La Trobe's state-of-the-art scientific research facilities, exploring the use of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy to study atomic connectivity and complex molecular structures.

Our Year 10 cohort worked hard to build their networking skills and secure meaningful placements across an impressive breadth of industries. Alongside local primary schools, trade industries, and community services, students engaged with major names like CSL Behring, Cricket Australia, the Ford Motor Company, and Austin Health.

We are incredibly proud of all our Year 10 students for seizing these wonderful opportunities and representing our school community so brilliantly.
