Visit Shine Bright Kindergarten - Rochester
On Monday, five of our First Nations Students visited the Shine Bright Kindergarten here in Rochester to celebrate National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day.
The kindergarten children were also learning about keeping Australia clean, so we all headed outside to pick up rubbish together on the school grounds. Along the way, there were plenty of giggles and fun as our students enjoyed some playful “stacks on” with the younger children—lots of laughter and running around filled the yard.
Afterward, we joined the kindergarten students for their outdoor playtime. Activities included sharing a spiderweb swing, playing in the sandpit, climbing on the play equipment, and more.
It was truly heart-warming to see the connections being made and the joy shared between the Rochester Secondary College students and the Shine Bright Kindergarten kids.
We look forward to continuing these visits throughout the year to build strong relationships and provide meaningful leadership opportunities for our students.
