Careers Week
During Week 5, Wollert Secondary College celebrated National Careers Week. What an incredible week it was diving into the world of Career Exploration with our students and showcasing their dreams and aspirations on Career Dress Up Day. The students had a blast discovering various pathways and opportunities awaiting their bright futures.
🔧 The Trades station saw students stamping their names into metal keychains and mastering the art of unscrewing bolts.
🕶️ Virtual Reality Careers opened doors to futuristic professions, allowing our students to step into immersive experiences of different careers.
🚓 Emergency Exploration brought the thrill of real-world heroics as our students interacted with police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances, gaining insights into the vital roles of our emergency services.
🎓 Career Trivia sparked friendly competition while imparting valuable knowledge about different occupations and job opportunities.
🛻 The Engineering station saw students crafting 3D models of the iconic Ford Ranger Raptor.
👔 Career Dress Up Day was a remarkable display of our students' dreams and aspirations, bringing their future careers to life with creativity and enthusiasm.
A highlight of the week was Emergency Exploration. During this activity, students were able to do more than just observe from a distance. They had the chance to sit inside three different emergency vehicles, including a fire truck, an ambulance, and a police car. But the excitement didn't stop there! They got to experience the thrill of using the water hose on the fire truck, stand in the back of a fire truck and even activate the sirens of all three vehicles.
A huge thank you to our incredible community and volunteers for their unwavering support and dedication in guiding our students towards their aspirations. Your assistance has been invaluable in shaping the dreams and ambitions of our next generation.
Here's to a bright and promising future ahead!
