Bulleen Boomers Clinic
The Junior and the 3/4 cohort were treated to a basketball incursion run by the Bulleen Boomers. After going through a few drills that enabled students to work on their basketball skills, it was then onto a few competitive mini games. It was great to see the students get so much enjoyment out the session and I hope it inspires them to take up the sport in their own time. The Foundation level were treated to an extra special surprise at the end, receiving their very own basketball to take home!
PE Focus
A new term and a new focus for our 1/2 cohort who will be beginning their strike and field unit. Students will be exposed to a variety of drills and modified versions of games that will enable them to focus solely on the important elements of these type of sports. Certain skills such as striking, fielding, game sense and teamwork will be greatly emphasised as they are fundamentally important when competing in inter school sports in the not too distant future.
