Visual Arts

From the Visual Arts room.

The Penguin Parade has finally arrived at BPPS.

Well done to all the Grade 5 and 6 students who created a felt penguin. It took patience, persistence and able to learn new skills. These skills included threading needles and sewing straight stitch and whip stitch to create the penguins.

The penguins are on display outside the office. Please drop by and have a look if you have time.

Foundation to Grade 6 - Community Event Project

Students are working in groups to create a Fantastic Face for our community event on Sunday November 16. Students are using the Learning Asset of 'I am a Collaborator' to design and decorate a large cardboard face. Students worked in a colour theme to paint the base of the face in two sections. Next week, students will paint the raised parts of the face and finally the face will be decorated using markers. It is wonderful to hear the students encourage each other, be open to discussion and make decisions that the whole group is happy with.

Just take a moment to ....

have a look at the wonderful penguins created by the Grade 5 and 6 students outside the office.
