Congratulations to these Semester 1 Year 8 Art students who have completed some outstanding Skateboard Design artworks. Over the term, students have researched and analysed the artwork of Australian artist Mulga. Drawing inspiration from Mulga’s artistic and aesthetic style, processes and techniques, these Year 8’s have appropriated his work to create their own eye-catching designs, painted onto skateboard decks.
Year 8 Textiles
Our Year 8 Textiles students are currently working on some exquisite hand embroidery. With the freedom to choose their own designs, the students are enjoying the chance to be creative and choose designs that interest them.
Their work ranges from detailed depictions of dogs and car emblems to imaginative vampires and animated characters. The students are showing impressive skills, with their very neat stitching demonstrating both care and precision.
We look forward to seeing the finished works! Here are a few examples of their excellent work.
