One of the locations I visited as part of the Marist Schools Australia Pilgrimage earlier this year was the Leonteios School in Athens. As part of their centenary celebrations in 2021, this Marist College created a small, on-campus museum to display a wide range of items from its history, including a mock dormitory and science lab and incidental items from the college’s archives.
With Saints celebrating its centenary in 2030 and the College’s 95th celebration on 16 August just a few weeks away, now is a prime opportunity for Old Boys and their families to consider donating any items relating to their time at Saints to our archives. For example, I was recently contacted by OB Scott Cockrem from the Class of 2013 about donating a copy of the Souvenir Programme for the 1969 School Rugby League Finals that belonged to his father, Greg, from the Class of 1976. If you'd like to donate any items to our archives please contact me or the College office.
