Lauren's Aerial Acrobatics Reaches New Heights

Year 12 student Lauren recently showcased her incredible talent in Eternity, a unique rock and metal circus production performed at the Gasworks Theatre. Featuring performers from across Australia, the show brings together aerial acrobatics, dance and contortion in a spectacular celebration of strength, creativity and performance.

Having been selected to perform in Eternity for the third time, Lauren reflected on the experience, the challenges of preparing her routine, and the joy of performing for a live audience. Read about her experience in her own words below.

On the 13th of June, I performed in a show called Eternity, at Gasworks Theatre. This was my third time performing in Eternity, so I was very happy to be asked to perform again. Eternity is a rock and metal circus showcase performed across Australia for the public, with several different artists who audition and perform in each show. Most of the acts, like mine, are aerial acrobatics, but there are some dance and contortion acts as well.

I didn’t have a lot of time to rehearse my act this year, but I luckily managed to pull it all together for the show, and we had a really great audience which made it super enjoyable. I was really happy that I was able to put some new skills in my routine, and I always love performing without the pressure of competing.
