MAKE ME SAFER

YEAR 11

Year 11 students recently participated in the hands-on “Make Me Safer” program at Gippsland Tech School, where they explored key concepts in workplace health and safety while tackling real-world industry challenges.

Through a Design Thinking approach, students engaged in interactive masterclasses that helped them build practical skills in problem-solving, collaboration, and innovation. They then applied this learning to design, develop, and test their own solutions aimed at improving workplace safety.

The program culminated in students pitching their ideas, strengthening their communication skills and confidence. This valuable experience not only deepened their understanding of workplace expectations but also supported their readiness for future career pathways.
