Hands on Learning

Welcome back to Term 2 in Hands on Learning!

We’ve had a great start to the term, welcoming new students who have brought fresh energy and skills to the team.   Students have been busy working on a range of projects, including building a mud kitchen for Lilydale North Kindergarten, sanding and staining picnic tables around SHUB, creating a sign for the bike shed and tidying the area outside the HOL shed.    Maths continues to play a big role in our program. In the garden, students used measuring, division, fractions and angles to section garden beds for planting herbs and vegetables. In cooking, they applied fractions, addition and ratios to prepare food for the group.  It’s been a positive and productive start and we look forward to the rest of the term!
