2027 Prep Enrolments 

Online enrolment 

This year, our school is using VicStudents, an online system for new enrolments in Victorian government schools. 

VicStudents is available at select schools, for students who are enrolling in a Victorian government school for the first time. This includes Foundation (Prep) enrolments for 2027. 

VicStudents has been assessed by the Department of Education to a high degree of security in line with the Victorian Protective Data Security Standards  and is compliant with ISO 27001, the leading international standard for information security. 

2027 Foundation (Prep) enrolments

The Department of Education has released the state-wide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline for the 2027 school year. 

The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Oatlands Primary School. 

All government primary schools will follow the timeline in 2026 to support Foundation (Prep) enrolments for the 2027 school year.

You will be able to apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) 2027 at Oatlands Primary School from 20th April 2026.

What you need to do:

1.       Contact our school on 9705 6055 to book a school tour or to learn more about our school and the enrolment application process. 

2.       Download the Foundation (Prep) enrolment information pack from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep) 

3.       Submit your online application for Foundation (Prep) by Friday 31st July 2026. 

4.       You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 3rd August and Friday 14th August 2026. If you receive an enrolment offer, you should respond to the offer on VicStudents by Friday 28th August 2026.

5.       Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Term 4, 2026.

6.       Prepare your child to start Foundation (Prep) from Friday 29th January 2027.

Enrolment applications submitted after 31st July 2026 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Placement Policy.

Visit  students.educationapps.vic.gov.au/s/ to create an account and complete the online application form. Please ensure that all documents required are attached to the application. 

If applying for Foundation (Prep) 2027, applications open on VicStudents from 20th April 2026.
