Principal Report 

The end of Term 1 is upon us already! We have had another great term at Oatlands Primary School.

Recently Oatlands has had our four-yearly review and the development of our 2026-2030 School Strategic Plan. This has been a busy, good and worthwhile process.  Part of this process includes had student, parent and staff focus groups, as well as observing  teaching and student learning in many classrooms across our school. 

Based on our student academic results over the past four years, our Grade 4-6 Attitudes to School Survey, Parent Survey, Staff Survey and attendance data we developed Goals, Key Improvement Strategies, Actions and Targets for the next four years. A really big thank you to our School Council President, Dean McCaughan, who was integral to this process.

The overall feedback for us from the review team was that Oatlands Primary School has done very well with our academic results, calm and settled learning environments and our positive school culture. An exciting part for us as a school is that our plan for the next four years will be a continuation of what we are currently working on.

We hope that all of our school community has an enjoyable and relaxing break and we are looking forward to seeing back at school for Term 2.
