Grade 2

We have made it to the last week of term! We can’t believe we are here already!

Our Grade Two students have had a truly wonderful term, showing dedication, enthusiasm and a strong commitment to their learning. We are incredibly proud of the effort they’ve put in, setting themselves up beautifully for continued success throughout the year.

In English, students have been busy bringing their writing to life by publishing personal recounts and poetry pieces they’ve carefully crafted over the term. They explored a range of poetic styles, including acrostic, alliteration and sensory poems and our young poets have done an outstanding job showcasing their creativity and expression.

In Mathematics, students have consolidated their understanding of key concepts such as place value, addition and subtraction, money and measurement. It’s been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they revisit and strengthen these important skills.

We have also wrapped up our engaging Integrated Studies unit on Identity. Throughout this unit, students reflected on their strengths and interests, explored personal timelines to understand how their experiences shape who they are and shared their family trees with pride. The term concluded with a very special “This Is Me” talent show, where students confidently celebrated their unique talents, what a highlight!

Over the past few weeks, students have also enjoyed participating in a range of exciting events, including Harmony Day, Kitchen class, World Maths Day, and Easter celebrations.

We wish all our families a happy, safe and restful break and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in two weeks for an exciting start to Term 2.
